Happy April fool’s Day! The children are going into April with a great deal of excitement and energy along with the showers. During March, we had a great deal of fun with our Saint Patrick’s Day and Easter celebrations, and the egg hunt. Our many thanks go to the parents who contributed to the success of our celebrations! In April, we are continuing the theme: “God’s Beautiful World”. We will start the month studying amphibians and reptiles. The children will be talking about turtles and sales. The second week in April (7-11) will be our spring break! We hope you will come back from spring break energized and ready to learn about planting trees, recycling and Earth Day (4/22). The last week of April will be about bugs and butterflies. Please remember to look at our bulletin board of butterflies that the children made. We will be adding ladybugs towards the end of the month. Do not forget to ask your child to show the kite they made. The kites are ‘flying’ on our walls.
We will send out information on the pictures with Ken Rada and our Parent/Teacher conference schedule later in the month.
Extended Learning at Home
You can help your child at home by reinforcing the skills and habits we are learning at school
We are playing matching games to learn our colors and shapes. The children love to match a blue circle to another one in our room or throw the correct color of beanbag into the matching color bucket. We also count before every activity we do. Try it at home!
