THANK YOU!!!  I have enjoyed having your child in Chapel so much this year!  I truly consider it a blessing to be able to work with your children.  Children have a natural, simplistic love for God.  This is why I believe that Jesus told people they needed to be more like children in their faith.  (Check it out! - Matthew 18:1-6)

This past month in Chapel we learned about all the beautiful things God made in our world.  He made everything in wonderful balance and brought order to our universe.  He made each one of us special and unique with different gifts and abilities.  We also learned that He wants us to take care of this beautiful world that He made for us.

For the remainder of the school year I will be helping Ms. Blaeser as the children get ready for their Sunshine Day program.  We will be using our Chapel time to practice the songs that they will sing for you.  We have been working on a special song in Chapel called, “All of Me”, which goes along beautifully with our lessons on Creation.  I know you will enjoy the entire Sunshine Day program.

I’d like to encourage you to continue the spiritual development of your children.  We hope you have a place of regular worship.  But if you do not, I’d like to invite you to join us here at DBC.  Traditional Worship begins at 8:30, Sunday School for all ages is at 9:45, and Contemporary Worship is at 11:00.  We also offer Sunday School for Preschoolers and Kindergarteners during the worship time.  Our Preschool Minister, Crystal Burt, does a fantastic job with our Preschool Ministry.  Brenda Russell is our Children’s Pastor and she is awesome with our older children.  If you have any questions about our program, you can contact them through our church office at 770-280-1200.
