The Ark Preschool Ministry welcomes you!

Welcome to The Ark at DBC...which is like Noah's Ark, a safe and secure place for our littlest ones, birth - 24 months. We are honored to join with you in nurturing your child's spiritual development. Our prayer is that the ministry of The Ark will be just the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith for your child. We are committed to providing a safe, clean and healthy environment where kids will learn and expereince God's love. 

Times & Location of The Ark

• Sundays at 8:30 am, 9:45 am & 11:00 am
•  The B building across from the Worship Center and Prayer Garden

Safety & Security in The Ark

• Nursery ages are 8 weeks - 24 months.
• Our classrooms open 15 minutes before each service.
• Parents must complete entire sign-in form and put nametag on child.
• You must present security card to pick up your child. If lost or stolen you must present a photo ID.
• For safety and security reasons parents are asked to not enter their child's classroom.
• For your convenience, we have a Nursing Mothers room located in The Ark.
• Please note any special care requirements on registration form. Allergy alert stickers are available.
• For health reasons we cannot administer medications.
•  The Ark is staffed by dedicated, screened volunteer workers who love children and love God!
• All Ark classes are divided by developmental stage; infant, crawlers and toddlers. Toddlers (12 months and older) will attend the same class each week and enjoy curriculum-based learning.

What to Bring to The Ark

• Babies will be fed formula (premixed by parent) milk, juice or water in labeled plastic bottles. (This is a good practice even for mothers who nurse)
• Please bring extra diapers, wipes, and a complete change of clothing for those oops times.
• Please label everything, including pacifiers and sippee cups with your child's first and last name.

Parent Pagers

• Hand-held vibrating pagers will be provided, one per family, upon request from The Ark Director. If there is an emergency or any problem involving your child, the pager will vibrate and the parent will need to return to The Ark. The pager's radius only includes the church buildings, so please do not leave the premises.
• If you do not take a pager we can still contact you using the child registration/sign-in forms that give us your location as well as the last four digits of your phone number. If you are in the Worship Center we will flash these numbers on the screens.

Parent Floater/Volunteer Schedule

• All parents are put on a floater schedule to help in The Ark. If unable to attend your Sunday, please trade with someone else on your Floater List.
• All parents are asked to help in their child's classroom at least once every other month, contact Crystal Burt for your availability
