School Curriculum

Our early childhood curriculum is designed to help children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Our desire is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners. We allow them to learn at their own pace and in the ways that are best for them. We help the children develop good habits and attitudes, particularly a positive sense of self, which will make a difference throughout their lives.

Each class is designed to meet the developmental needs of every child - 9 months through five years old.  Each child is encouraged to develop emotionally, socially, intellectually, physically, and spiritually.  Music, Gym, Spanish and Chapel are also an addition to our program for children ages 2 - 5.  2 Years Old, Toddler and Creeper classes enjoy music with their own special music teacher.

The planned activities, the organization of the classroom environment, toys and materials, and the daily schedule are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give your child a successful start in school. Each day is planned to give your child experiences in both group and individual activities.

Our curriculum is most successful when teachers and parents work together. Each of us has something valuable to contribute, but only you have in-depth knowledge of your child. You know best your child’s interests, fears, joys, patterns, and past. You are most familiar with the world your child is trying to understand. You know about the relationships between the members of your family, and you have shared many of your child’s experiences from family events to trips to the doctor’s office or zoo. You are your child’s first and most important teacher, and your home is your child’s first and continual learning environment.

If we can work together, your child will be happier and more successful in school. Consistency among the adults in a child’s world promotes secure feelings in the child. When children feel secure, they are more likely to explore, to experiment, and to learn.
