The goal of Bible study at Dunwoody Baptist Church is to outfit people for The Journey.  The Journey is God's, yet He invites all who will follow, to join Him.

Rules of the Road:

• Outfit yourself in prayer
• Allow God's Word to impact your character and light your path
• Let the Holy Spirit be your compass to help you stay the course

Inductive Bible Study looks at Scripture in context, and pulls out facts, interprets them, and then makes application.

Three steps in Inductive Bible Study:

• Observation - What does the text say?
  This first phase looks at the facts.  This phase is concerned with the setting - who, what, where, when, why & how.
• Interpretation - What does it mean?
  This takes the facts and finds out what the text means.  What is the story within the story?
• Application - How do I respond?
  At this point, one takes the meaning and puts it to practical use.  This is the phase where you put on God's truth and live it.
