Steps to Growing
This information may also be found in our Newcomer Guide that is available on the General Information displays in the lobbies of both the Chapel and Worship Center.
1) Come
Two different worship services are offered every Sunday morning at DBC. Worship is honoring God through Bible-based teaching, music, baptism and prayer.
8:30 am Traditional Service: Our Traditional Worship Service meets in the Chapel and features our choir and orchestra. It is filled with songs, hymns, Bible-based teaching and other creative elements providing a place to commune with God in a traditional setting.
11 am Contemporary Service: Our Contemporary Worship Service, The Eleven, meets in the Worship Center. With high energy, popular music and videos, along with Bible-based teaching, we provide a place for people to connect with God in the language and style of our contemporary culture.
2) Connect
Connecting with others in a medium-sized group provides richer opportunities to learn about God and fellowship.
9:45 am Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study: DBC has 25 different groups organized by age and stage or by interesting topics. Try out a few classes until you find one that fits you best. View a list of our classes.
Discovery Class: If you would like to understand what it means to be a follower of Christ, how to get involved at DBC and how to join the church, reserve a spot at our next Discovery Class. Make a reservation online.
Email connect@dbc.org for more information.
3) Serve
Serving is a critical part to living out your faith. Follow Jesus’ example of living the joy-filled servant’s life by serving in ministries at DBC, in our community and around the globe.
The important thing is to get involved. Find a place to serve someone else both inside and outside of DBC. As you serve, pray that the Spirit makes the concerns of Christ your own. Pray that you become more like Christ as a result of serving.
Serving Guide: The Serving Guide outlines our serving opportunities within DBC, our community and the world. Download the Serving Guide or pick up a copy at the General Information display.

4) Grow Deeper
Growing deeper in your faith requires further study of the Bible, ideally with others in small groups.
• Life Groups meet consistently throughout the year in homes, choosing curriculum based on group needs.
• Women’s Discipleship Groups meet on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Tuesday and
Wednesday nights.
• Men’s Discipleship Groups meet on Friday mornings and Sunday nights.
• Celebrate Recovery meets on Sunday nights and offers support groups for abuse, anger, eating disorders,
addiction and more.
Email grow@dbc.org for more information.
5) Multiply
Followers of Christ have a biblical responsibility to make disciples and to then help equip those disciples to make more disciples.
We make disciples by...
• Showing the life of Christ before others
• Sharing the Gospel of Christ with others
• Teaching the Word of Christ to others
We do all of this with a view toward reaching every people group in the world with the Gospel.
Friends investing intentional time together: read scripture, confess struggles and encourage Christ likeness.
