We have groups meeting all over the Dunwoody area most nights of the week. Here are some basic questions about the groups as you consider getting connected.

What is a Core Group?

A Core Group is a spiritual family, an expression of church, a place to practice the "one anothers" of the New Testament, a group of people to grow with and serve alongside.

Groups range in size from 6 - 15 people. A group could also be two or three people. The point is not the size, but the values and focus.

For more on group values and focus, visit the groups blog at www.dbcgroups.wordpress.com.

When do they meet?  How often?

Groups determine when they can meet and how often. Groups meet either weekly or bi-weekly on different nights.

What about childcare?

Each group decides how to handle their own childcare needs. Groups may hire a sitter or keep their children involved in group meetings.

What is the goal of a group?

The goal is discipleship - to become more like Christ in the way we relate to others and to God. Groups focus on 3 specific areas of following Christ. We call them DNA.

Divine Truth: Developing a relationship with Christ.

Nurturing Relationships: Developing Christ-centered relationships with each other.

Apostolic Mission: Reaching out to those outside the group.

How can I get connected?

Our core groups operate out of our Sunday morning Bible studies. So, we recommend that your first step be to connect with us in one of our many options for Bible study on Sunday mornings. For a listing of all the Sunday morning options, please click on one of the following links...
