How can I get into a Core Group?
You can get into a Core Group by 1) attending a Core Group Connection or 2) being invited by an existing Core Group
What is a Core Group Connection?
A Connection is a fun, lighthearted gathering of people interested in finding or forming a new Core Group. At the Connection, you will be given the chance to join or form a new group. If you are unable to get into a group or need more time to decide, then you will be contacted about openings in groups when they arise.

How long do Core Groups meet?
Core Groups meet as long as the group determines. Most groups have a life span of 12 - 18 months.
Groups start out as beginner groups for 8 weeks. After this initial period, each group decides if they are going to continue. If they do not, members are encouraged to attend the next Core Group Connection to find another group. If they do continue, assistance is given to the group for curriculum and development.
Why does DBC have Core Groups?
There are no lone ranger Christians. We were created to be in meaningful relationship with God and others. Our spiritual transformation occurs in the context of relationship with others. Core Groups are unique environments for people to grow in relationship with God and others.
What do Core Groups do?
Core Groups meet weekly for prayer, Bible study and encouragement. They get together outside of group times for fun and relaxation. Core Groups also serve the community through various projects.
What about childcare?
Many groups hire their own baby sitters. Sometimes group members rotate and share the childcare responsibilities. Each group decides their own strategy for handling childcare. Child curriculum is provided for use by Core Groups.
