The Counseling Resource Connection at DBC is designed to meet the needs of individuals and families with counseling concerns. Our services are available to anyone—members, regular attendees, friends, and the surrounding community.
How to Get Help
The Counseling Resource Connection is designed to connect those in need with helpful and healing resources in the community as well as within DBC. We offer brief assessments of counseling needs for individuals, couples and families. An assessment is an opportunity to talk with our director who will listen to your concerns and then suggest a plan that will minister to your specific needs. This plan includes connecting those coming for assessment to a Christ centered counselor in the community as well as various ministry resources at DBC.
A Variety of Care Options
We have counseling resources available on site, as well as various DBC approved resources throughout the community. On campus at DBC we offer licensed professional therapists, trained in Christian Counseling as well as a variety of need-specific groups. Throughout the community we have also identified Christ centered counselors, group opportunities, psychiatrists, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, nutritionists, and psychometric specialists. We want to match your specific counseling need, connect you with the best possible care, and provide a diverse database of resources. We also want to make available to you DBC spiritual resources such as Life Groups, Adult Bible Study Classes, mentors, support partners, and other ministry opportunities.
Fee Information
As a ministry of the church, there are no charges for an assessment. After a referral is made to a professional counselor or group resource any fees for services are the responsibility of the person seeking care. If genuine financial need exists, low or sliding fee counselors or our resident counseling intern in the community may be identified as a helpful alternative.
