Are you suffering from the loss of a loved one? DBC’s GriefShare Support Group is facilitated by those who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
Two 14-week sessions are offered each year with meetings on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm in D-300.
The two sessions meet from January to April and September to November.
GriefShare is an open group - new participants are welcome at any time during the session.
There is no fee for the group, but there is a $15 charge for the workbook.
Each session opens with a video and is followed with guided discussion questions and sharing time led by an experienced church member who has had personal experience with loss. GriefShare includes videos featuring nationally recognized experts on grief and recovery topics. Topics include, “Living With Grief”, “The Journey of Grief”, “The Uniqueness of Grief”, “The Lessons of Grief”, etc.
There are over 7,000 GriefShare groups in the US and abroad. Our DBC group was chosen to be honored in the top 100 groups in 2010-2011.
