Sunday Morning Bible Study
Every Sunday morning we offer Bible study for adults. Classes meet from 9:45-10:45 am.
Men's & Women's Classes
JOY Class (Jesus, Others, Yourself) Teachers: Denny Spear, Becky Babbitt, Bob Banks, Walter Weeks, Contact: Louise Banister, D-211, age 70+
Focus: A caring class of adults. Teachers rotate and curriculum is based on in-depth Bible study. We are organized for support of each other and often gather for group fellowship.
Samaritan, Teachers: Lee Baggett, John Montgomery, Lanny Vaughn, Contact: Bill Morley, D-208/209, age 60+
Focus: In-depth book by book Bible study. Through research and group discussion we search for the importance of historical context, eternal meaning and application to our modern lives, as we trust and appreciate God’s special gift to us - His Word.
Sharing, Teacher/Contact: Guy Berger, D-207, age 60+
Focus: A small class of God’s people studying God’s word while sharing joys and sorrows.
Women's Classes
Morningstar, Age 50+, Teacher/Contact: Cindy Credille, D-212
Focus: Books or topics of the Bible and how they relate to us today.
Winsome, Age 70+ Teacher/Contact: Marjorie Norton, D-210
Focus: Excellent weekly Bible lessons, wonderful fellowship and the caring outreach of this class to each other.
Men's Classes
Men’s Bible Class, Teachers/Contacts: Dayton Hedges, George Satterwhite, D-206, age 60+
Focus: Leading men into a closer relationship with Jesus by creating engaging fellowship environments where men are encouraged to become Disciples of Christ and develop into spiritual leaders at home, at work and in the church.
Learning from Christ, Teacher: Jack Lowndes, Contact: Bill Lovett, D-213, men age 70+
Focus: Lively discussion devoted to understanding how to apply Christ’s teaching in everyday life.
