One of the first Legacy Milestones in your families life is the birth of a child and their dedication to the Lord. The Baby Dedication ceremony at DBC is a commitment ceremony for parents. It is recognition of your solemn responsibility to raise your child in a Christian home and a church where he or she may come to know Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior. This ceremony is not infant baptism. We do not offer baptism prior to a person’s choosing to believe in Christ.
Our heart is that this milestone is embraced and celebrated in a new and special way, very similar to the way we celebrate the Legacy Milestone of Senior Graduation.
QUARTERLY BABY DEDICATION SERVICE
We believe it will be helpful for families to have a Sunday morning service set aside for this celebration so they can invite family and friends near and far! Our next Baby Dedication Service is September 20, 2015. You may choose either one of our Sunday morning services, 8:30 am or 11:00 am.
If you would like to be a part of this sweet service, please fill out the Baby Dedication Registration form. We'll contact you with all the details of each upcoming Baby Dedication Service. Please remember to also sign up for one of the required Baby Dedication Parenting Classes below.

BABY DEDICATION PARENTS CLASS
The Baby Dedication Parents Class, held at 9:45 am, is an opportunity for us to take some time to explain what Baby Dedication is. We also clearly explain what we believe the Bible says about parenting and what spiritual responsibilities parents have. Most importantly, we share how DBC wants to partner with parents to lead and train their children to know and love God. We will also cover all the details you'll need to know about the Baby Dedication Service.

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER?
You do not need to be a member of Dunwoody Baptist Church to have your child dedicated. However we do encourage parents to make sure they are calling DBC their home church. Why? In dedicating your child to God, you are stating that you are willing to partner with God and the church to raise your child in cooperation with God's intentions. To partner with any church, a parent would be wise to decide if he or she agrees with its beliefs and vision, so they can be all-in in their partnership with the church. When you choose to become a member at DBC, you are stating that you agree with DBC's beliefs and values, and that you want DBC to be your home church. For more information on membership, please email Katy Swilley.
