DBC's mission statement, To love Jesus and become more like Him" is clarified by our vision statement: "We envision a church that is passionately becoming more like Jesus and is committed to transforming our community and the world." The New Beginning Class is for children as they begin their faith journey. Recommended for 2nd - 5th grade students, the class is held during the 11 am worship hour. One or both parents are strongly encouraged to attend with their child.

Discussion Topics
This class explains what baptism is, who partakes in communion, how do you really follow Christ, and what it means to be a disciple.
We tour the baptistry so that they feel comfortable and knowledgeable about what takes place the day of their baptism ceremony.
A child-appropriate workbook is provided and is to be completed as a family at home. There is also a 30 day reading plan through the Gospel of Luke.

We want baptism to be a meaningful and enjoyable experience, and we look forward to walking through it with you and your family.  One of the ways we share with our Church family is to have a video the day of your child's baptism.
