DSA Attendance and Make-up Policy
Private Students are expected to attend each scheduled lesson within the year. We can allow two make-up lessons per year. The teachers should have at least 36 hours notice for non-emergencies for you to be eligible for a make-up lesson. Please contact your teacher as soon as possible if you are unable to get to your lesson due to illness or other unavoidable problems. Dance and Kindermusik students may attend another class of the appropriate age and skill level.

Classes will be held on Monday holidays unless indicated on the schedule.

DSA Payment Policy
Once your child has been registered for one of our classes, we consider that an agreement that you are planning to attend for the whole nine month season. We have tried to make our payment schedule as convenient for you as possible to accommodate your needs.

We offer credit card tuition payments. This will be done solely online by you. We accept full payment for the year’s tuition with a 10% discount, 2 installment payments with some special discounts if you are a DBC member or if this is your second class or child enrolled, OR you may use the incremental payment plan by allowing DBC to debit your account. Because there are additional expenses associated with the use of incremental payments, we will add fees to cover these expenses. You may also pay with cash or by check for the full payment or semester payments. We do not accept monthly payments other than outlined above.

Payment for the year is expected when the classes start. Semi annual payments are due by class start in August and January. You will be able to access the online payment from www.dbc.org/schoolforthearts. If you elect the monthly installment plan please read and sign the agreement provided. You will need to provide us with a voided copy of a check from your account and the amount will be debited from your account on the 5th or the first business day afterward. Once you have established your payment option a fee will be assessed each 30 days that your payment is outstanding and your lessons will be terminated. A fee of $25 will be assessed for any bank debits that are returned as non sufficient funds. Any other payment arrangements must be made through the DSA office on a case per case basis. Please note that costumes and Kindermusik Home Materials fees will be included in the total fee.

DSA Withdrawal Policy
Your desire to withdraw from DSA must be presented to the director in written form. You must give a month’s notice so your teacher will have time to accept new students or reassign your spot. If you choose to withdraw after 20 days into the season, you may be eligible for a refund but you may also be charged a 20% processing fee for the remainder of your lessons. Refunds will be determined on a case by case basis. Dance Costume fees and Kindermusik Home Materials will not be refunded.
