What is Surf?

It is an off campus retreat for children who have completed 3rd - 5th grades. July 10 - 13, 2013. This camp fills up fast and we are limited in our numbers, so register early!

Where are we going?
We will be going to CAMP GRACE near Macon, Georgia. We've been helping and supporting the efforts of Dave Pridemore as he's followed God's call to provide a camp for at-risk kids in Atlanta. We are so excited that we're able to partner with Dave and to have access to this beautiful, God built camp! Thank You Dave and Thank You Jesus!

Directions to Camp Grace: 2559 Walker Chapel Rd. Roberta Ga. 31078.

Take 75 South to Exit 187 (Forsyth Ga.) Turn right onto Rt. 42 straight through Forsyth go 18 miles and dead end into Rt. 341. Turn left onto 341 and go 5 miles to Roberta. Turn right at the second light in Roberta onto Rt. 128. Go three miles on Rt. 128 and turn right onto Walker Chapel Rd. Go two miles on Walker Chapel to Camp Grace on the left. When will we be going?
Depart from DBC Chapel parking lot on Wednesday, July 10 at 1:00 pm and will be picked up by parents at Camp Grace on Saturday, July 13.

How do we register?
You may register and pay online by clicking the links above. Please note that there is a girls and boys registration link. We will also need a front and back copy of your Medical Insurance card. Youth and Adult workers registration link is at the bottom of this page. Youth workers must be confirmed by Children's Ministry before registering.

What are the accommodations?
Campers will travel by chartered bus to Camp Grace where they will sleep in air-conditioned cabins with 8 - 10 other campers. Every group will have 1-2 adults and 1-2 youth helpers. Boys and girls cabins are separated.

What will we be doing?
Campers will participate in daily small group Bible studies, large group worship and study, group games,  campfires, swimming, and other various camp activities.

What do I need to bring?
Your Bible, sleeping bag or sheets, pillow, flashlight, camera, swim suit (girls-one piece only) clothes for 3 days, towels, soap, toothpaste and brush, shampoo, extra money for snacks (not to exceed $10.00). Thursday Night  Costume Theme Party - Theme TBA

What is Family Day?
Saturday, will be Surf Camp Family Day! You won't want to miss this awesome time of worship with your kids, lunch together, and a time to enjoy Camp Grace and each other the entire afternoon. Lunch fees are $6.00 per person (your campers lunch is paid in their camp fee). Bring your bathing suits, fishing poles and have a great day of family fun! The zip lines are awesome - even if they are a little scary!

What is Surf Sunday
Sunday following Surf, is "Surf Sunday." Parents are invited to the Rally room at 9:45 am where we'll relive Surf Camp all over again! We'll also be honoring our 5th graders who will be entering the Jr. High Ministry. Wear your Surf Camp T-shirt! We'll all Worship together at 11:00 am where the Surf Campers will be recognized!
