If you want to know more about what it means to be part of Dunwoody Baptist Church, or what it means to be "Baptist," this is the page for you.

Explore is a relaxed, discussion-style gathering with some of our pastors that focuses on what we believe, what the church is, and how to get connected. Lunch will be provided, and free childcare is available with a reservation.

Explore is where those with questions learn about the specific principles that guide DBC’s worship, Bible study, and outreach efforts. In it, we examine the basics of a life yielded to God, which include salvation, baptism, and spiritual formation.

Attending Explore is one of the requirements for membership at DBC.

At Dunwoody Baptist Church, members understand and affirm the mission of DBC and give their energy, time, spiritual gifts, and financial resources to help accomplish our mission to passionately become more like Jesus and commit ourselves to transforming our homes, church, community, and the world.

Church membership is for those who have committed to a personal relationship with Jesus. The New Testament places a significant emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other, not neglecting to meet with one another (Hebrews 10:25).

Making a commitment to a church family provides opportunity for spiritual accountability.

There are several means by which one can become a member of DBC:

  • Attend Explore. This session is designed as a relaxed, small-group atmosphere in which you can learn more about DBC and get all of your questions answered.

  • Make known your intention to join either by statement of faith, by transferring membership from another church (assumes a previous baptism), or by being baptized by immersion at DBC.

  • Confer with our Connections Coordinator about the specific date you would like to officially join DBC.

Upcoming Explore Sessions

Our next Explore session is on Sunday, October 19th, at 12:30 in room A200. Childcare reservations must be made by October 16th.
