Join our active and dynamic ministry for adults 55 and up. It provides opportunities for fellowship, service, worship, and growth as disciples of Jesus.

JOIN US FOR OUR SEPTEMBER LUNCHEON

Thursday, September 24   |   Noon   |   Dining Room

Join us for our FIRST Adults 55+ event! It's the same Young at Heart luncheon, but with a forward-leaning new name.

During the September luncheon, come and hear from five of our Local Mission Partners about the work each is doing in our community. These ministries share the love of Christ as they serve and minister to others. Our partners attending will be: Bread Coffeehouse, Camp Grace, GA Baptist Children's Homes, JMA Ministries, and Perimeter Recovery Residences.

The cost is $15, paid in advance. Register below or call or visit the church office (770-280-1200).

Registration closes at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 21. No refunds after this deadline.

JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL APPLE EXCURSION

Thursday, October 15   |   8:00 am

Join us on Thursday, October 15, for our annual and much-anticipated apple excursion! We will travel by bus to North Georgia to visit two apple orchards. Between those stops, we will eat at Pat’s Kountry Kitchen for all-you-can-eat family-style country cooking.

The cost is $40 per person, which includes lunch, gratuity, and transportation. We like to tip our bus driver, so a little extra cash is appreciated.

We will gather at 8:00 am in the Worship and Arts building immediately behind the Worship Center. The bus will leave promptly at 8:30, so plan accordingly. We anticipate arriving back at DBC between 4:30 and 5:00.

Space is limited, and seats are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

The registration deadline is 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 14.

***NOTE*** We will offer refunds, but only up to and through the Monday of the trip.

Naomi Ministry

This homecare ministry, sponsored by DBC's Men's Fraternity, provides labor to DBC's widows, widowers, and elderly. Click on the link below for more information and services provided.

Healthcare & Referral

This pastoral care ministry is available for DBC community members and friends. We provide no-cost advice, recommendations, and introductions to those recovering from illness or injury or facing difficult decisions related to aging and needing resources.

Visitation Ministry

DBC's Visitation Ministry provides a sense of fellowship, belonging and involvement to those who aren't able to get out and about as easily as they used to. We also work to connect these church members to additional DBC ministries that can help them with other needs they may have.
