SUMMER INSTITUTE BEGINS SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH
Join us this summer for a series of summer sessions dealing with several topics, including:
The Books of Judges and Ruth
Led by John Hume, Discipleship Pastor | Sundays June Through July
The study of Judges and Ruth weaves a powerful narrative of Israel’s spiritual decline and redemptive hope during the same era.
Starting with Judges, we explore how each generation failed to uphold covenant obligations, leading to oppression and a cycle of desperate cries for deliverance. The epilogue reveals moral decay due to a lack of godly leadership, with individuals acting on their own whims rather than following God's standards. This period highlights God's relentless grace toward undeserving people, despite the instability of half-hearted discipleship.
In contrast, Ruth presents a story of commitment and faithfulness. A Moabite woman embraces the Jewish faith, embodying the covenant loyalty that is lacking in Judges. Through Ruth, we see how God subtly yet sovereignly accomplishes His purposes through the faithfulness of His people, emphasizing both His lordship over history and the importance of human choices.
This class is designed for people who may be traveling throughout the summer and may not be able to attend weekly.

DEEPER - A 4-Week Series on Bible Study Tools and Methods
Led by Gary McEntire, Pastor of Digital Ministries and Senior Adults | Two Sessions Beginning June 7th and July 5th
Last summer, Gary McEntire led a summer study on how we got our Bible, how we can trust our Bible, and how to address supposed contradictions. This summer, he will offer a four-part series on how to go DEEPER in Bible study. The series will offer a high-level overview of last year’s study, examine how to do simple basic study with the right kind of Bibles, the usage of other resources to help in Bible study (such as books, apps, and online platforms), and discuss the role and boundaries of using AI in Bible study.

Stories from the Field
Led by Members of the Missions Team | Sundays June Through July
This will be a time to hear from mission partners and to learn about their experiences. We will publish a list of speakers for each week. Come and be impacted by powerful stories and discover how you can get involved.

In Church as it is in Heaven
Led by Members of the One Accord Team | Sundays June Through July
The Bible promises a diverse congregation around God's throne—"a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language," united in praise. This vision doesn’t have to wait for eternity; we can experience it now in our local churches.
In Church as It Is in Heaven provides a biblical foundation for multiethnic communities, illustrating how they offer a powerful testament to the gospel. The authors share their journey of transforming a majority-white congregation into a reflection of heaven's diversity.
The multiethnic kingdom is not just an ideal or theory; it's a vibrant reality we can embrace today.

Every Body Matters
Led by Daryel Person, Director of Sports and Fitness | Sundays June 7-28
Every Body Matters delves into the spiritual significance behind our physical battles with eating and exercise, offering fresh insights and renewed motivation for meaningful change. The aim isn’t just about achieving a thinner or athletic physique; it’s about nurturing strong, well-nourished bodies that serve as instruments for good, ready to fulfill special purposes. By shifting your perspective—viewing your body as an instrument rather than an ornament—you'll discover powerful motivation to adopt a lifestyle that nurtures both body and soul.
