Special Events & Excursions
Given the extension of the state of emergency recently announced by Governor Kemp, we will be unable to hold our annual picnic this year. We’ll keep an eye on COVID-19 developments and will make a decision about our summer movie in early June. Our primary concern is for your health and safety. When we are finally able to gather again, it will be a wonderful time of fellowship.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)
Heartstrings, our senior adult choir, meets at the church for rehearsal on Wednesdays at 10:30 am from September to May. Each year the choir is invited to sing in local churches, nursing homes and for other senior adult groups. The rehearsals provide fellowship time and opportunities for performing.
Sponsored by DBC’s Men’s Fraternity, this homecare ministry provides labor to DBC widows, widowers and elderly.

Healthcare & Referral Advice
A pastoral care ministry is now available for members and friends of the Dunwoody Baptist Church community. At no cost to participants, we provide advice, recommendations and introductions to those who are recovering from illness or injury, or who are facing difficult decisions related to aging and are in need of resources.
The leader of this ministry, Fran Weigard, is particularly knowledgeable about home care services and providers, hospice care options and long term residential communities. She is available to answer questions, encourage families and connect patients with providers. There is no charge for this assistance. We simply see this ministry as a way to serve our family here at Dunwoody Baptist.
