Starting Sunday, August 9, DBC will begin a new 8-week Sunday morning message series and church-wide Bible study, The Life of a Jesus Follower. Join us as we go back to the basics to reexamine what it means to be a follower of Jesus and discover the purity and simplicity of following Him. In this time of uncertainty it is important for us to proactively move ahead with structured and disciplined ways to grow in our relationship with Jesus.
Following Jesus begins with a response to God’s grace by accepting Jesus as your personal Savior. It is a relationship response. It begins with a daily, intimate relationship with the Father. It spills into a fellowship with other believers. And it overflows into sharing our relationship with Jesus with those who don’t know Him at all.
When we follow Jesus’ model, we will stop working so hard, as we allow His life to flow in and through us.
There are 3 parts to this study:
- Pastor Allen's Sunday morning messages in August and September will examine DBC’s four priorities to love God, love people, make disciples and make a difference while complementing the study material.
- Sunday morning Bible study teachers will cover specific teaching to prepare us for the weekly topic. If you are not currently in a class, email Katy Swilley and she will find one for you. These classes are currently meeting online.
- Daily workbook lessons will help each of us to personally apply scriptures to our lives.

Every participant will need their own workbook in order to complete the personal daily devotions. Here are two ways to order your materials.
