Meet our Instructors:

Erika Sunday: Worship

Erika Sunday has been playing the piano and guitar since the age of 12. Growing up in a musical family, her dad was an excellent piano teacher and church Minister for 25 years. He taught her all about music, piano, guitar, and worship. Over the past 5 years, she has been blessed with the opportunity to teach piano to elementary, middle school, and high school students. As a youth leader, Ms. Erika teaches the importance of worshiping, giving, and incorporating God into daily living. In addition, over the course of 8 years, she has been playing the piano and guitar for various venues and events, such as Paulding's Next Star, while also leading worship in church. Ms. Erika is not only a gifted piano Instructor but she is a singer and songwriter who loves to write Worship music. As an Instructor, youth mentor, and worship leader, Ms. Erika hopes that everyone can experience the true love of Jesus, through relationship, fellowship, and worship!.

Victor Kennedy: Visual Arts

Victor graduated from Auburn University with a BFA in Graphic Design with a concentration in Illustration. His senior project received from the art department faculty an “A Commended” award, which was a big encouragement on entering the communication arts field. He moved to Atlanta and took a job with a magazine publisher, CCI, and spent four years illustrating and designing for various magazines. In the last two of those years, he redesigned and art-directed two different health foods magazines. After that he worked at Esoteric Audio as Assistant Art Director designing logos, creating packaging, and illustrating. After these formative five years, he started freelancing as an illustrator working for such clients as Hallmark Cards and Children’s Television Workshop, AD agencies such as BBDO South and Larry Smith & Associates, and book publishers such as Prentice Hall and Scott Foresman.

He has continued to illustrate from his Georgia home with his family while enjoying the shared adventure alongside his wife homeschooling their kids. As the kids have grown he has become more involved in teaching elementary, jr. high, and high school students fundamental drawing and painting courses as well as specialty disciplines in printmaking, watercolor, clay, and sequential art.

.

Rob Britt: Performing Arts

Rob has been working with children, youth, and adults for 20 years at Dunwoody Baptist Church in the field of drama. He has been one of the primary leaders of the KidsPraise Service and Arts team for 3rd - 5th graders, which puts on 2 big productions each calendar year. One of the two productions is an original piece written by him. Rob is the writer/producer/director for the Worship Center drama productions for DBC’s annual Vacation Bible School going back 12 years. He is also a long-time member of the DBC adult drama team where he has written and performed in both short-form sketches as well as longer productions.

In 2014, he felt a call to “quit his day job” and pursue writing as a career. This process is still ongoing and there have been many blessings along the way. Six of his sketches have been published in Christmas and Easter-themed drama books published by Carpenter’s Son Publishing in 2015-2016. He has written plays bought and performed by Freedom Academy, Knoxville Tennessee. He wrote all the original dramas for the “Heroes of History” VBS curriculum based on the “Max & Liz” books by Jenny Cote. In 2015, Onstage Atlanta chose his Christmas sketch “Shelf on an Elf” to be performed by their professional theater company as part of their “Merry Little Holiday Shorts” series.

Rob enjoys working with children and youth, and combining that with his love of drama is one of his life’s greatest joys. His wife, Lyndy, and 16yr son, Adam ARE Rob’s greatest joys and they support his theatrical endeavors to the fullest. Adam is involved in drama at John’s Creek High School as both an actor and sound engineer. Lyndy is a behind-the-scenes person who uses her sewing and crafting skills to help with costumes and props.
