Disciple Makers Lab - Hybrid

Sunday, 9:45am - 10:45am | 1445 Mt Vernon Road Atlanta GA 30338

Sundays, 10/18 - 12/20, 9:45 AM

Disciple Makers Lab: Disciples Who Make Other Disciples

The Disciple Makers Lab is a group committed to prayer, training and engaging people with the good news of Jesus. You may wish to see others around you come to Christ, but you may struggle with how to help them. You may also miss the encouragement from others to make progress. That’s why this group exists—for equipping and encouragement!

Join us to be trained in an open discussion, interactive lab designed to help us all obey the command of Christ to go and make disciples. You will discover the vision, be equipped with tools and put spiritual practices into place that will help you be a disciple maker. As a result of the lab, you will gain experience in sharing your faith journey with others, learn from experienced disciple makers and be trained in how to help others follow Jesus.

  • This is a hybrid group. Join us in person in room D-204 or virtually on Zoom.
  • Trainer: Jeff Reams with Special Guests

Be the Bridge: Pursuing God’s Heart for Racial Reconciliation

"But what can I do?” This is a question many of us are asking as we attempt to enter into the national conversation on race. As Jesus-followers we know we are called to work toward reconciliation and healing, but we often don’t know where to start. And so we invite you to begin a journey of bridge building through awareness and understanding together. We will be using the book, Be the Bridge (BTB), written by Latasha Morrison and used by diverse Christian leaders around the country. During this six-week course, BTB presents a compelling vision of what it means for every follower of Jesus to become a bridge builder, committed to pursuing justice and racial unity in light of the gospel.

  • This is a virtual group
  • Facilitated by Cathy Hubbard & Beth Southers

The Epic of Eden: Jonah - Women - Virtual

Tuesday, 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Tuesdays, 9/29 – 11/17, 6:30-7:45 PM

The Epic of Eden: Jonah

When most people think about the book of Jonah, they think about a children’s story. Others think about a story they’ve heard so many times there could not possibly be anything new to learn from it. Well strap in, because this study is designed to prove all those assumptions wrong!

In The Epic of Eden: Jonah, Dr. Sandra Richter leads us through Jonah’s life to the place where we realize that our God is way bigger than we thought. We will learn about the brutal Assyrians of Nineveh, ancient seafaring ships, and large aquatic creatures, and be challenged with the same message as confronted Jonah. Are we willing to let God be God, to move us out of our comfort zones, and embrace His calling?

  • This is a virtual group meeting on Zoom.
  • Facilitated by Sue Haynes & Eva Wilson
