DBC Missions at a Glance

MATTHEW 28: 19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

VISION

The vision of DBC missions is to see a disciple making movement among the nations represented in Dunwoody and to the ends of the earth.

Missions is a ministry that proclaims the gospel and makes disciples, while also meeting needs.

Missions prioritizes people and people groups who have little to no access to the gospel.

PURPOSE

The purpose of DBC missions is to see God worshipped among all people groups by making disciples, equipping them for ministry, and developing them to multiply.

The DBC Mission Council (the Council) directs the human and financial resources entrusted to it toward this goal.

  2. Sending and supporting of DBC members on short, mid or long term assignment
  3. Cross cultural disciple making and/or church planting locally
  4. Disciple making and/or church planting locally, not cross cultural
  5. Disciple making and/or church planting globally not among unreached
  6. Mercy/compassion-based ministries without strong gospel proclamation globally or locally
PSALM 67

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.

REVELATION 7: 9-11

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God
