Ministry Funds
Overview
There are many different types of ministries that seek support from Dunwoody Baptist Church. The DBC Missions Council reviews applications from new and continuing ministries for funding from the missions budget. There are six levels of prioritization that the missions council uses to guide the budget decision process:
Level 1:
Ministries or projects focused on making disciples or planting churches among the global unreached
Level 2:
Sending and supporting church members on mission assignments
Level 3:
Local disciple making or church planting in a cross-cultural community
Level 4:
Local disciple making or church planting in a community that is not considered cross-cultural
Level 5:
Global disciple making or church planting in a community that is not among the unreached
Level 6:
Mercy or compassion-based ministries which are not necessarily focused on gospel proclamation
These prioritization levels are used only as guidelines; they help to ensure that the Missions Council is grounded in the great commission found in Matthew 28:16-20 to make disciples of all nations, baptizing believers, and teaching them to obey Jesus Christ.
